National Scout Jamboree Contingent

The 2013 Jamboree is coming soon, with event registration available now.

The Jamboree department at BSA National Council has launched the Summit/Jamboree Web site https://summit.scouting.org. Go to this portal site for Jamboree information and event registration. Sign-up today!

To support Jamboree contingent development in councils, the Jamboree department issued the following updates:

• Steps to sign up for Old Colony Council Contigent:
  
  You will need your scout ID number found on your membership card or available from your unit leader or Council office.

  1. Create login account on Summit website
  2. Print “Request to Attend” form
  3. Fill out form and sign
  4. Obtain Parent signature
  5. Obtain Scoutmaster/Advisor signature
  6. Submit to Council office with $300 deposit

Old Colony Council Contingent Details

Traveling from July 13, 2013 to July 26, 2013

Stops in Washington, DC before and Pennsylvania amusement park after Jamboree

Contingent will consist of 8 Boy Scout Troops of 40 and 3 Venturing Crews of 10

Contingent Leader: Steve Woogmaster
Scoutmasters: Steve Bailey, Ken Breen, Eddie Carl, Doug Foley, Candy Martel, Barry Meltzer, John Murphy and David Winter.
Crew Advisors: Paul Norton, Cyndi Norton

To apply for a unit leader position, complete the council's online application.

The selection of assistant leaders (Ast. SMs and Ast. Adv.) will follow unit leader selections (starting Fall 2011). To apply to attend the Jamboree, scouts and adult volunteers should register for the Jamboree.
